Meet Chef Cassi

 
 
 

As an adolescent, Chef Cassi became passionate about food around 12 years old. She would quietly climb onto the cabinet and go through her dad's cook books and enter into full experimental mode. Her first daunting task was making pasta from scratch. Although it screamed of imperfections, something awakened inside of her. She began to watch her dad waltz around the kitchen and prepare homemade dessert and delicious family meals. She then gained the courage to prepare full family style dinners accompanied with a homemade dessert. Her love for cooking is ultimately inspired by Gracie Faust, her grandmother. Although Gracie passed away just short of Cassi's arrival into the world, the legacy she left behind lived on through Chef Cassi's dad and now continues to flourish through her. 

Chef Cassi began her early food service career as a member of one of Houston's most well known Cajun Cuisine inspired Seafood Restaurants. It was there where she began to look at food differently. Her interest in plating, garnish and wine pairing was officially sparked! She was extremely inspired and began preparing beautifully plated meals and hosting dinner parties for her family and friends. Chef Cassi began her works as a chef when she was introduced to a prominent Award Winning Houston Chef. This relationship allowed for numerous lessons, ample growth and incredible connections with some of Houston's finest in the industry. While working with him, she was able to learn new techniques and take her love for food and elevate her craft. Soon after, her then hobby, became a professional form of expression. Chef Cassi enjoys experimenting with new food concepts and tickling the palates of her prospective clients by hosting very exquisite multi course Tasting Menus.
